Every Saturday night after sundown, I give thanks for having had shabbos. It is truly a life-saver;
A friend joined me for shabbos lunch. I had experimented with putting up a chicken stew in a crock-pot last night...This is not a do-again.
I brought goodies and got to visit with another homebound friend later in the afternoon.
On the way home I stopped to walk at Viele Lake, where my body refused to even think of becoming aerobic . I see that they have invite the flock of goats back to munch down the overgrowth on the hill between the lake and the high school. That is wonderful: they are so funny and interesting. Their Guard Lama looks older, dignified, a small sneer of disgust on its face at being watched by us.
This was one of the days when I missed Zalman's presence walking by me with an intensity that, thank G-d, doesn't arise every day. But it did today.
The cats are both asleep, and it is time for me to do the same. I wish us all a good week.
