Our wonderful Monday Morning Group met at 7:30.
My body had already shifted to Lama-time, and so I had wakened at 6-something, watered the flowers and herbs on the back porch, fed the cats, fed the wild birds...
I have begun unpacking, restoring the order of "home again", catching up, etc.
I took the car to the shop to find out about replacing what had scraped off during the drive; I have to come back on Thursday for a better estimate; Suzuki parts are hard to find.
I am glad to be home; and I am also very aware of the difference in the general rhythm down here.
My beloved's yohrzeit is coming up: Wednesday night I will light a candle; Thursday morning I will go to shul. I will bake something good and bring it to share afterwards. Or maybe just herring and tiny boiled new potatoes...
I will visit the gravesite, which keeps accumulating more wonderful quirky gifts: stones, crystals, a tiny model convertible, a crocheted bag of seeds...
