...and skidding into shabbos.
It is really a great treat to visit with an old friend. We know each others' families and histories as well as how and who we are in the present. So we had a day of sharing and munching and small shopping, stopping breifly at my beloved's grave, setting up a keyboard so she can practice piano, reading quietly and preparing dinner and eating it with a mutual friend, with Netanel joining us for dessert after a twelve-hour day of teaching. The cats are calm and quiet, and accepting these additional people with equilibrium.
I did a cursory version of my daily email-civic-duty.
I send blessings for a deeply peaceful and restorative shabbos for us all.
