Mishka bathing

-->on the desk by my right arm. I suddenly see a graphic-novel rendering of Bathsheba as a beautiful Siamese licking her paws to wash her ears on a roof in the moonlight; and David as a scrappy ginger cat watching from across the rooftops...The Bible rendered as a graphic novel like The Rabbi's Cat; you can slip in a lot of visual midrash*.

Time to go upstairs; I hope to make it to 7 a.m. minyan tomorrow.
*how do I disable spell-check? It turns "midrash" into "madras", and does other terrible things to words in Yiddish and Hebrew.
