Grateful
I got to bed very late last night.
I wakened at dawn wide awake, and leaped out of bed to dress for morning minyan.
Fired off an email letting a friend know I was off to minyan, and would return later, and got the quick reply: "But...isn't today Wednesday?" (Minyan is on Thursday.)
So much for thinking I was awake.
I will go to the actual minyan early tomorrow morning. This will be brief, and I will run up to bed.
I needed a lot of help to see that the Seder as I led it was the right and appropriate one for all of us who were there, and did the job it was meant to do.
I had been feeling an (unmet) obligation to the Tradition as codified in the Haggadah. But the truth is, each woman brought such heart and such treasure to the table, and it was SO worth hearing.
I am humbled; and I am grateful.
Blessings.
