I am SO grateful that the internet is up and running again. Embarrassing to be so dependent...
A few members of our Monday Morning Group did gather at 7:30 a.m. on this snowy morning; valiant. I had scheduled a massage afterwards, in preparation for the coming surgery. (Grateful.)
The refrigerator is still full of prepared food; no need for me to add, just now.
My friend from Philadelphia is arriving tomorrow. If the roads are sufficiently cleared from this snow, I will drive to DIA to pick her up; otherwise, there is an excellent bus that arrives close to here.
The massage table is now where it will stay for the week following the surgery.
There is more food in the refrigerator than we can eat in the next few days.
Mishka the Cat is calm and quiet and purrs, and is surprisingly uninterested in the flames in the wood stove, which I filled and lit on this cold and snowy day.
Offers of help for when I should need it have arrived, and are tremendously appreciated.
A friend from college asked a friend of hers who had undergone this same procedure to describe his experience for me, and his email was both vivid and reassuring.
I feel like I am the recipient of kindness upon kindness.
