It is almost midnight.
I have been gifted a rich and full day.
I reached some family by phone or skype in the morning, after a hiatus.
I cleaned up after sick cats. (Now they are both throwing up. I will call Pete the Visiting Vet tomorrow.)
I responded to the flood of political badnews as best as possible with emails, calls and donations. And intense prayer.
And I finally got into Denver---the first time in many months---to visit a good friend. We had a delightful time, ranging from sharing where we are on our personal journeys, to a tour of her beautiful garden, to a few rounds of Boggle in the cat's company, to walking by the lake at Cherry Creek, to Indian vegetarian food for dinner, to searching the etymoligical dictionary for sources to understand a name better.
Now the clothes are folded out of the dryer, the cats are asleep, and I am ready to do the same.
Thoughts of Zalman have permeated the day, and I am secretly hoping for dream...
