...only this week, it feels like the pause on the way to the fundraising performance on Sunday evening. I just got back a while ago from the dress rehearsal. My new discovery: I can no longer comfortably wear my dance shoes. The heel is small, and there is a reassuring strap; but my toes are still sulking from feeling squozen.
I hope this shabbat will be "the pause that refreshes", when I can spread out my toes and recover.
I used to enjoy being able to send a song or a story straight to my beloved in the audience; he would receive it with such warmth. The song or story would overflow and ripple out from there to fill the room and reverberate, exploding from the beaming smile he would send me.
I am falling asleep at the keyboard, absorbing the slumber-vibe from deeply sleeping cats on eiether side of me. May we all be blessed with deep restorative rest this shabbat.
