The day began with a surprise: a message from folks who were passing through Boulder on their way to a retreat, inviting me to join them for breakfast at a great (and healthy!) restaurant downtown. Besides great food, we really had a yummy-delightful visit. What a treat!
The Jewish Broadway rehearsal lasted all afternoon; but the compensatory treat washearing/seeing such talent, even professionalism; especially the young people.
Once home, I brought the remaining half of the Queen of Sheba cake plus the strawberry-slivovitz sauce to the neighbor two doors down who shovels the snow from the walk whenever he can: an angel-function. His young daughter is interested in cooking, so she might pop by in the future to learn some dishes. Theirs was the friendly dog who entered the house with some students one evening years ago, so casually that they thought she was ours.
