Our Monday Morning Group meets once a month now, rather than weekly; and today was the day.
It was so good to see our small group, at 7:30 in the morning---a real gift. This group started in 1996 at Naropa, with Zalman want-ing to "explore the spirituality of the future".
It has gone through many changes (of venue, of participants, of frequency) and persisted out of sheer caring for one another. I consider it a real gift.
This evening, I was invited to participate in an event through Naropa in honor of Earth Week---there was music of Native American flute, a partnered movement meditation, poetry; I told the Reb Nachman story about "The Souls of Trees". I found it nourishing, stabilizing, balanced; inviting peace without inviting passivity. I felt invited back out into a world I had not visited for a long time.
It felt good to feel useful.
I am going to bed feeling replete, and satisfied with the day.
