Ahhh...things are slowly returning to normal: Bracha the Cat has walked across my keyboard just to hear it chirp, and has returned to her warm blankie.
I went to services last night. I was finally able to sleep without large doses of ibuprofen, and managed to go to shul this morning, to walk around Viele Lake this afternoon, and to see a brilliant sunset.
Then I got on line and spent a few hours writing letters and signing petitions; that seems to be the new order of things.
Tomorrow is the first rehearsal for a shul benefit performance months from now. And perhaps I am finally ready to clear the back desk, confine my activism to the most effective, (which is what, exactly?) and return to the writing project that I tabled after the election. I am still praying daily for sanity, clarity and inspiration: what is my part in helping prevent this country from devolving into fascism or chaos?
By all means, feel free to share whatever you are doing to that end in the Comments.
I wish us all a fruitful and blessed week.
